Destination: Cable Box (July 13)

Did I forget to do this today? Maaaaaaaybe. Am I going to pretend half this stuff didn't already record? Maaaaaaybe.

Monday Night RAW

If I didn't record it and watch it, how could I complain about it?

Gravity Falls

One of the greatest cartoons on television returns (returned) tonight for the back half of its second season, after a huge cliffhanger and major things happening. If you don't watch it, you should figure out how to start from the beginning. It's got Kristen Schaal in it, for fuck's sake.

Whose Line Is It Anyway?

The Aisha Tyler-hosted run of the improv show has gotten even better as it's gone on, gotten looser, and gotten filthier. Is a certain percentage of it the same techniques, gimmicks, and routines that extend back through Drew Carey to Clive Anderson? Yes. But they're still funny.

The Daily Show

They're on hiatus, but during a normal week, this is definitely in the mix. It's had it's ups and downs, and we'll see what Trevor Noah brings to the party in a few months, but it's solid.

The Nightly Show

I kind of miss the rough edges the show had when it premiered. I assume they've been cutting way back on the "Keep It 100" stuff because it made it tougher to book guests, and in general, it seems like they're having a tougher time booking guests. There's a ton of great talent on the show, and I love watching it, I just want them to be more confident in their own material.

@midnight With Chris Hardwick

Natch. And it's been renewed for another year.
